Computer graphics and images

The aim of this group is research, development, and innovation in the fields of computer graphics and image processing. Computer graphics involves all aspects related to generating images using a computer, whether for movies, video games, simulators, advertising, and more. Computer graphics defines models and effects of real-world elements and benefits from dedicated hardware (GPU). Additionally, there is a wide variety of sensors (digital photo and video cameras, LIDAR, medical devices, etc.) capable of capturing images to process and extract information from the environment.

The research topics the group is currently working on include general image processing, the study of biometric markers, and the modeling and rendering of volumes.
