Real-Time Systems – falta revisar

The Real-Time Systems Group, founded in 1987, has focused on research in local and wide-area network scheduling, task scheduling for single-processor and multi-core systems under energy constraints, and the development of mechanisms for fault tolerance in real-time systems.

The group has developed a real-time operating system (SOOS) for embedded systems and has worked on the modeling and requirements analysis of cyber-physical systems. In recent years, research has shifted towards collaborative systems and the Internet of Things (IoT), driven by opportunistic and mobile ad-hoc networks. The group collaborates with researchers from Italy, Spain, Chile, Brazil, and the United States. Alongside its work in real-time systems and communication, the use of hardware description languages for implementing reconfigurable digital architectures remains a significant area of focus.

Since 2012, the group has collaborated with the Analytical Chemistry Group at INQUISUR on instrumentation and analysis for various applications, fostering technology transfer through an interdisciplinary project. More recently, a new research line was initiated in partnership with researchers from CERZOS. The group’s publication record, detailing dates and authors, provides a chronological overview of its evolution. The Digital Systems Laboratory, which serves as the group’s headquarters, is part of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DIEC) and the Institute of Computer Science and Engineering (ICIC).

Mision
